About me

Dessert should never be just good, it should be great. Life is too short for cake that isn’t worth the calories. I believe in making each and every item as delicious as possible, from cookies to wedding cakes and beyond. If you didn’t swoon, drool, or revel in the flavors, I did something wrong.

I started baking when I was barely old enough to help measure and dump in the ingredients. When I was eight, I tried to make chocolate chip cookies “quietly” at night, and so used spreadable margarine instead of butter so I didn’t need a mixer. Don’t try this at home– they were liquid. When I was eleven, after watching an episode of Great Chefs, Great Cities on PBS, I emphatically declared I was going to be a pastry chef.

In 2006, after graduating from university, I went on to attend the Le Cordon Blue baking and pastry program in Portland, Oregon. I interned locally at Pix Patisserie, a cute and French-inspired dessert shop that helped me hone my skills before starting out on my career path. I’ve worked grocery stores, high-end cake shops, and in-between since and have loved almost every minute. Maybe not the minutes spent washing dishes.

Two children later, my career has brought me here, to my own personal space. I create delicious, stunning, sweets at my own home in Tigard, Oregon. I do not have a store front, but rather each and every item is custom made to order from my personal kitchen.
